Rankd x Creeping Embers

DIY outfit 'Creeping Embers' return with 'T.E.R.D'
Returning with their memorable rough-and-ready sound, Creeping Embers latest single ‘T.E.R.D’ sparks a vital conversation in a playfully aggressive tone – condemning trans exclusionary radical feminists (TERF’s) and drawing attention to the challenges facing a community under unprecedented change, especially on their doorstep in Brighton.
'Being an all queer band, transphobia is a topic that directly impacts us and our community, and we’re pissed off about it' - Luciyan
Formally ‘Burnt Lung’, the band make no mistake tackling these issues head-on, digging their teeth into topics that personally affect the group and forging a space for community and conversation at their live shows. Gripping a rage-fuelled, unfiltered frankness, the group plate-up sincere facts surrounding social injustice, LGBTQIA+ rights and other topics that are worthy of more and more attention in the current day.
Their eccentric and expressive live shows facilitate an immersive and unforgettable experience, capturing the essence of authentic DIY punk values but jumping erratically across polarising soundscapes. Incorporating kazoo and electric harp into their tracks, Creeping Embers synergise different genres to bring an exotic mix of rock-infused chaos.
As the band’s first studio-polished release, they’re crafting a unique musical identity that sets the tone for a strong 2025.
